Originally from Kunming, China, Meggie Miao is a filmmaker/photographer based in New York City. Her films, whether documentary or experimental, explore different areas of interest and subject matters. In 2005, Meggie's short experimental film Monologues was officially selected for the Up and Coming International Film Festival in Germany. Meggie is a recipient of the Aaron Siskind Fellowship, among other awards. She received her MFA degree in Photography, Video and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts in New York and her BA from Swarthmore College.
